Betty Fowler-Brown
Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dear Friend and Supporter:

During the later part of the year 2000, we experienced a great loss in our club. One of our charter members, Betty Fowler-Brown died.

Betty was a fun person and loved the 1300 Social Club with all her soul. To this end, we have decided the best way to remember Betty, is to establish a scholarship in her name.

This scholarship will benefit students in the Durham Community, that have been accepted into a school of higher learning. The student must have at least a 2.0 grade point average.

We are looking to help the student that will not be able to get an academic scholarship, but would benefit from attending a school of higher learning. The student must exhibit a willingness to learn and be willing to give back to the community in some way.

The name of this scholarship shall be the Betty Fowler-Brown Scholarship.

Calvary Ministries of the Westend, Inc. will administer this scholarship fund. This is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

We will donate one of our fundraisers each year to this fund, to keep it going.

This letter is to invite you to join us, in giving to the memory of Betty.

Checks should be made payable to Calvary Ministries of the Westend, Inc. and mailed to Post Office Box 51864, Durham, North Carolina 27707.

We look forward to hearing from you.

We thank you for your patronage and support!
